Simplify:
$\frac{(6a + b)(a+ b) - 7b(a + b)}{2a^2 - 2b^2}$

Answers

$\frac{(6a + b)(a+ b) - 7b(a + b)}{2a^2 - 2b^2}$

combine like terms in the numerator

$\frac{6a^2 - 6b^2}{2a^2 - 2b^2}$

= $\frac{6(a^2 - b^2)}{2(a^2-b^2)}$ = $\frac{6}{2}$

= 3
